I did read up on how to remove the immobilizer completely and it doesn't seem to be a bad idea at all. The transmission is literally right next to my right leg and that carpet does not protect you at all. Driving in a miata through the city with no AC really sucks balls. semo rckstore, removing the immo is not a problem for me, I just didn't want to go through that and lose out my daily ride for a couple of days/weeks. The cable is 290 euros and the immo software and tacho software is included. Unfortunately I have the software but my cable is not supported and it is only available through them. The version I am running is only supports 1 and 2. Emailed the guys from Vag-Tacho and they said their newest version would read the pin code cause the immo I have is immo 3. If I did anything else it would either say access denied or unknown immo. There was two ways to connect, one was through any tacho which let me read my vin number only and the other was using the RB8 option which read the vin as well. The version of Vag-Tacho I have does not read RB4 clusters and it would not get the pin through that. I would not read the immo box as I keep getting an error message. I can my tacho can read the vin number only and that is about it.
